First day as a free man. ^_^

Today was a load of fun. It started off rather mundanely as my mom made me go get my hair cut. Considering how I thought that my hair was getting rather long anyway, I agreed. So I went to my usual hair place and got my hair trimmed a noticable amount. I kinda like it like this. Although I kinda liked being able to see my bangs, this isn't bad. Besides, it's summer and my head won't retain uncanny amounts of heat like it would have the way it was before.

After that, I went out with my friends to go swimming! ^_^ Woo! I really look forward to swimming. I like how it gives your entire body a workout. I need to keep in shape you know. Anyway, it was great fun. Although the pool was a tad too shallow (deepest end was only 8 feet), I guess it was enjoyable. I really wanted to dive though! =( I'm not really a good diver, but it's really fun to just jump off diving boards. ^_^

At least there was an intertube to play with. Nanona, Cinti, and I had some fun with it. Initially, we were fighting for the thing. It's fun rough housing in the water. ^_^ Eventually, it turned out that we all got in the tube. Yes, we all fit into the thing. Now that was fun. We were swimming around and we even challenged someone to race us across the pool. ^_^ Granted, we said that he could only doggie paddle. We won though! Haha! We're cool. ^_^

I've been meaning to play some more Sakura Taisen 2. It's summer now and I want to go through the rest of the series if I can. I haven't been able to start today, but I'm starting early tomorrow. I just need to finish it once more with Kohran and then I'll be satisfied enough to move onto ST3. I'm so looking forward to playing that. I have a feeling that I'll really like Glycine. She just seems kinda like Orihime, i.e. she seems to extremely dislike Oogami. ^_^ Yes, I developed a thing for Orihime, even when she hated my guts. Call me strange. I'll be finishing the game first with Erica because I always like finishing the game first with the main girl. After that, I'll move onto as many other girls as I want and finish the game with them. After I finish ST3, hopefully I'll be able to go through ST4 multiple times. It's not like it's a long game. I should be able to do it.

Riku:
You may be saying that now, but I know that you'll be sad when you're leaving high school. I know I don't really feel much right now, but I know it'll be sinking in sometime. So yah, cherish your high school years. I know they'll be some of my fondest memories throughout life.

Mizuki:
You're gonna graduate from junior high, eh? Well that's a big step indeed. Prepare for some good times. Sure, the work's gonna be a tad harder, but you'll make some of the best friends you'll ever have, do numerous memorable things, and just live a much fuller life. At least that's what it was like for me. Sure, there were some bad times, but the good times far outnumbered the bad times.

Yes, you go and join the anime club. ^_^ That's the spirit. High school anime clubs need more dedicated fans like you.

Tichan:
Thanks for the "congrats" and hugs. They're much appreciated. ^_^

I'm sure I'll be all sad and crying sometime. It just takes some time for some things to get to me.

I'll try to have fun as a "former high schooler." ^_^

Panuru:
An interesting new face around these here parts. ^_^ Hey, thanks for the "congrats" too. You're site's not bad itself.

Hananikko:
You don't have to try so hard to not be sad. If you ever want to be sad, be sad. It's healthy to experience all types of emotions. If you ever want to talk to me, invite me over or something. You know I'll be around.

No more high school. It's all over for me. It's been a long four years, but it's all over now. Wow....

Yesterday was my last day of school. I kinda wanted to make an entry yesterday, but the sister was kinda hogging the computer. =( Anyway, my last day was, more or less, like any other day, only with a lot of yearbook signing. Oh yah! Yesterday we finally got our yearbooks. Yes, on the seniors' last day! Gwar! That was pretty crappy. I know they couldn't do anything considering how it was a problem with the printer, but still.... I wanted my yearbook earlier so that I could get tons o' signatures sooner. At least they made up for it by giving us a little autograph page insert thing at the beginning of the week. On the bright side, the yearbook isn't all that bad this year. *gasp* Yes, believe it or not. It has a nice leather or at least leather-like cover and a reasonable amount of mistakes. Not bad.

We raced our boat for physic yesterday! ^_^ You know, that cardboard and duct tape boat? Yah, that one. It was great! The juniors made a boat, but it was too buoyant! ^_^ It would constantly tip over. ^_^ Oh yah! We seniors had to show them how it's done. Our boat was great. We kinda needed to use two paddles to move without spinning around, but we did it. We even had cup holders in the boat, so halfway coming back, our rower stopped and took a nice swig of Nestea! HAHAHAHAHA! ^_^ Afterwards, we tried having both the senior and junior rowers in our boat, each rowing either side. It worked! They rowed back and forth in the pool in amazing time. Oh yeah... we made a good boat. *proud*

After school, we had a party in anime club. It was an end of the year party. We had video games as usual, but we also provided food and had more people there. It was quite fun. Highlights include eating yummy food ^_^, dueling with lightsabers in the hallways, and playing Tetris Attack. Yep, I'll be leaving anime club. I've been a member of the club for four years. In other words, my entire high school career. I've played a major role in running the club three of those years. Everyone in the club knows me. I know most people in the club. Wow... it's kinda weird leaving them. I wish them luck. Especially my friend Ryoko. Good luck running the club.

What do I think about leaving school? Believe it or not, I'm not really feeling anything. I know I should feel sad or something, but I can't seem to bring myself to be sad and depressed. Various peoples are telling me that I should be sad, maybe on the verge of crying, but I'm not.... I guess things just haven't sunk in yet.

However, Ryoko's entry got to me. I shed a tear or two. I'm sorry.... I can't really do anything about it.... Don't worry... I'll visit. I have a car, don'tcha know.

1 more day of school.

Wow... the days are really winding down, eh? Tomorrow will be my last real day of high school. Sure, there's going to be stuff happening next week, but I'll never have to go to class in high school ever again. Wow....

I kinda wanted to steal the survey Gomaki did, but it seems that it's not there anymore. =( So instead, I stole an old survey from Saka. Enjoy! ^_^

What does your name mean?
My name in its entirety means "beloved yellow country." Interesting, eh?

If you could change your name what would it be?
I'm kinda used to my name by now. I don't really have any other name I would rather be called by.

Did you have an alternative baby name?
Nope. Well... my family kinda likes to refer to me by my Vietnamese name....

Sex:
Male.

Home:
San Jose, CA. It's been my only home for 18 years.

Height:
6'1"/186cm/1.86m. Tall for an asian guy, eh? ^_^;

Hair colour and style:
Nice, solid black. No real style to it really. I just put gel in it and make it hang down. I don't even comb it. ^_^;

Color of eyes:
A really dark brown.

Did you have hair when you were a baby?
I'm sure every baby had some hair sometime.

Were you a fat baby?
I think all babies have fat on them. I wasn't comparatively fat though.

Did you suck your fingers or sleep with a blanket?
I think I had a blanket. They kinda keep you warm when you go to sleep....

As a kid what scared you the most?
Probably my greatest fear was the dark. You didn't know if anything was out to get you in all that darkness....

What was your biggest fashion no-no as a kid?
I don't know about you, but I never cared about fashion as a kid. Come on! I was too busy playing to care about anything else, especially clothing.

BACON!!! MEAT!!! ^_^

Favorite Salad Dressing:
Thousand Island. My mom always buys the stuff, so I developed quite the liking for it. For some good eating, use it as dip for Lays sourcream and onion chips. Mmmm....

Nope. Don't intend to either. I don't really feel like getting drunk, thank you very much.

Shampoo or conditioner:
I kinda use both. Shampoo for making my hair clean and conditioner to make it all nice and soft. ^_^

The unknown? The source of most all fears.

Straight, gay, or bi?
Quite straight.

What do you look like:
I'm a tall asian guy. What else can I say?

What city do you live in:
I think I've kinda already stated this....

None worth mentioning....

Did you ever get fired?
Nope. I quit. ^_^

Boys/Girls you like?
Nakoruru. ^_^ As for real girls... can I say Ayumi and BoA? ^_^

Oh yah I do. One of my major goals in life actually. But I kinda need to find the right girl first....

When do you want to get married?
When I find the right girl...?

How many kids?
Hm... two? A boy and a girl? I'm not really sure.

Dream Date:
Does this refer to person or events? If person, Nakoruru. ^_^ If course of events, I would like to have a nice friendly date. Sure, I could have a nice romantic date, but I think things would be more fun if we just act like really good friends most of the time, but with the occasional romantic moment. As for a location, I've always liked festivals or carnivals. Nice good fun. ^_^

Are You Single?
Yes, indeed I am.

What is the one place you want to see before you die?
Don't know.... Vietnam and Japan? I know that's not one place, but oh well. I'm the one filling out this survey. ^_^

What do you think about ouija boards?
They're evil I tell you! *gets into fetal position and shivers*

Favorite TV Show(s):
I don't watch TV anymore. Not since I have a computer. ^_^ I do watch anime I download and that's the closest that I get to real TV.

I don't really have any favorite bands. But if you want my favorite music artist, it'd have to be Ayumi.

What's the first thing you thought of when you woke up this morning?
"What time is it...?"

Yes.

Do Drugs:
Well... I kinda like to take Tylenol every once in a while....

Smoke Cigarette:
Nope. Never will either.

Drink Alcohol:
Nope. Refer to smoking response.

Didn't I already say that I don't know?

Favorite smell:
Fruit smells are always quite pleasing.

What was the first thing you thought to yourself when you woke up this morning:
Um... already answered this question....

How many rings before you answer the phone:
I don't really answer the phone often. Leave that work stuff to other--more stupid--people. ^_^

Yep, why not?

What is under your bed:
Some toys and some old school work.

What does it mean to be a true friend?
To be loyal? Don't know....

I don't really do much of either.

Hamburger/hotdog?
Mmm... meat....

What Time Are You Going To Sleep Tonight:

What would you do if you were on a date with a cute girl/guy
Nothing. I'd be too shy to do anything.

What Do You Hug To Sleep:
A nice, big hugging pillow.

Do you believe in yourself:
I suppose so.

If there are 3 wells: health, wealth, and knowledge, and you can drink
from only 2 of them, which ones do you drink from?

Just health. As long as I would have my health, I'd be among the richest people in the world. Excessive material wealth is just a pain in too many ways. I wouldn't want to have extreme amounts of knowledge either because it'd also be a pain. Like they say, ignorance is bliss.

What is the most disgusting food you have ever eaten?
Raw tomato. Bleh!

If you were making a movie about yourself, what actor/actress would play you?
I'm not worth making a movie about.

What TV show or movie bests describes your life?
Don't know.... Like I said earlier: I don't watch TV.

Do you like your handwriting?
Sure, why not? It's small and neat.

What is the #1 priority in your life?
To enjoy life I suppose....

What is your favorite lunch meat?
I don't care. Meat's meat, isn't it? ^_^

Do you have any bad habits?
I think I crack my neck a bit too often....

If you were another person, would you be friends with you?
I suppose so. Why not?

Are you a daredevil?
Not especially.

Do you follow or lead?
More often than not, I follow because I'm not a leader-type.

Do you pray?
Athiest, remember?

Are you trendy?
Not at all and I don't care.

What do you do to vent anger?
Nothing really. I just sit around and cool off a little.

Are you passive or aggressive?
Extremely passive.

Do you always wear a seat belt?
Yep. It's kinda against the law not to. Besides, flying through the windshield doesn't sound very pleasant.

Do you feel understood most of the time?
Most of the time I'm pretty clear and understandable, but there are many times where no one could possibly understand me.

Have you ever thought seriously about committing suicide?
Nope. There's just too much to live for. Besides, I couldn't bear the thought of never seeing Nako again. ^_^

Would you rather be hot or cold?
Cold. At least it's easy to get warm when your cold, not vice-versa.

Did you cry when the Oklahoma City Bombing occurred?
Nope. I was kinda surprised and pissed, but no crying.

Could you be a vegetarian?
NO!!! I like my meat, thank you very much.

Do you untie your shoes every time you take them off?
No. I can slip my shoes on and off.

Who are your favorite white rappers?
There are white rappers? ^_^

Have you ever given money to a bum?
Nope. I never trust them "veterans" enough to give them anything.

What are you worried about right now?
Nothing. School's almost over for me. Life is pretty good.

Do you think you are strong (emotionally)?
Not at all. I get hurt and cry too easily....

Give one random, little unknown fact about yourself:
Don't know....

*Steals test from Dandan*:

13

I act like I'm 13.
This test was brought to you by Mel - She'll bite you ;o). Take it here.

Another test I thought would be appropriate:
Take the 'What kind of Wing are you?' quiz!

2 more days of school.

Blah! It was freakin' hot today! My sister tells me that it actually reached 98 degrees today (or 37 degrees for you smart peoples using the metric system). Aaa~ I was baking in the sun. At least I it gave me an opportunity to wear a shorter t-shirt, which I'm only wearing because I want an upperarm tan. My forearm has a nice tan, but my upper arm gets progressingly lighter as you go up. I don't have a fondness for tanktops, so I'm wearing shorter t-shirts to work on the tan.

In physic toaday we had a rather fun contest. We were given a single sheet of paper and a strip of masking tape. With that, we had to try to make the tallest tower we could possibly make. It was really fun and I came up with the masterful architecture for my group's tower. It wasn't bad, but it didn't win us first, nor second. At least we placed third. I'm somewhat happy about that.

After school... well... I'm not going to even going to reaccount it. Read about it here (Thanks for writting it out so that I don't have to ^_^).

A little while ago, I went out to work on another contest for physic. You see, the physic AP class was split into two groups: the juniors and the seniors. From there, we have to colaborate together to build boats out of cardboard and duct tape. Yes, cardboard and duct tape. ^_^; Sounds interesting, doesn't it? Believe it or not, cardboard doesn't soak up tons of water like you might think it does. Anyway, I went out to work on that thing at school. Atchaa~! It was hot! We couldn't work inside, so we worked outside. At least we were out of the sun, but it was still rather hot. Anyway, we built a beautiful boat... well... ok... maybe it wasn't beautiful, but we think it'll work. We haven't done any calculations, but hopefully it'll be fine. If it isn't, then we can make some changes because it's still incomplete.

Gomaki:
New layout! Nice. I like the greenness. ^_^

Aaa! What happened to the survey? I was going to fill it out too....

Good luck with everything. So many bad things are happening to you.... I hope things get better real soon. No one deserves all the stuff that's happening to you. *pat pat*

Ryoko:
Thanks for ranting for me. I'm kinda lazy to do it myself. ^_^;

*pat pat*

P.S. Wow... that was a boring entry, wasn't it? ^_^;

3 more days of school.

I came back from Honors Night a little while ago. It's a ceremony where all the seniors with honors are recognized for their accomplishments. I was invited to go because I received a governer's scholarship, which you get for getting in the top 10% of your school or 5% of the state on the state-wide STAR test. Yep, my only award. Well, I would be getting other awards, but lets just say that I've gotten less than spectacular grades before. Not horrible mind you, but enough to push my unweighted GPA down below the minimum for honors. Granted, weighted, it's higher, but they don't take that into account when considering honors. So yah, I had one honor to receive, so I went. Joy. That was a great ceremony. Well... it wasn't so bad, but we had to wear our graduation gowns and we were forced to sit around all huddled together, so it got rather stuffy. I got really hot. Bah!

I really think that it was a waste of my time. With my one award, it wasn't worth my time. Besides, it's money, so I don't really need recognition to be happy. ^_^ Maybe I shouldn't have gone. Eh... it's too late for thinking about that now. I suppose I could have gotten more awards if I hadn't been asking for pain throughout my high school career. I always tried to go for the honors/AP classes whenever I could. Not because I wanted something good to put onto my college application, but because I genuinely want to learn. You always learn more in advanced classes. Also, because the other students want to learn too, the atmosphere is better than in a normal grade level class. So yah, those classes killed my chances for some high honors, but I don't really care. There's no use regretting anything. It's already passed. Besides, I was never a normal honors student. You know the type: those who always ask everyone else what their test scores are and those who compare A's. Che. I despise that kind of attitude. Why should you care about what anyone else gets on their tests? Shouldn't only your score matter? Why should you care about who's A is higher? You have a freakin' A! Be content! Geez... I just don't understand these guys. I learn for the sake of learning, not competing. I think I'm the most non-honors-like student in the entire senior class.

Then after the ceremony, I was treated to another fun moment. I hung out with my friends for a while, but eventually they went home. All of them. I only have so many friends, so when they left, I was kinda left alone. Also, I came with my parents. After the ceremony, my dad was tired, so they went home and they said that they would come back. Alright, so I waited for them out by the parking lot because I didn't have anyone to spend time with. It was then that I thought about how I only have a few friends. Sure, I'm familiar with a lot of people, but they are just aquaintaces. I don't ever talk to them. When my friends leave, I'm left with no one to spend time with. I don't fit in anywhere. Considering how I've been in honors classes for four years, you'd think that I'd have made friends with some of the other honors students. Atheletes? Nope. The populars? Nope. It was then that I felt really lonely. I always get that way whenever I don't have anyone around. It isn't a feeling that I get often, but whenever I do get it, it's rather depressing. I'm feeling better now, but dang, I can't deny that this loneliness is something that haunts me.

Shinobu:
Dang, you're quitting logging too? Well... I'll miss your log, but I understand. I hope you feel a lot better.

Than:
Birthday's soon, eh? You seem excited. I hope you have a great day because everyone deserves to have a good birthday.

Saga:
Seems like you're pretty on top of your work there. Good job. *pat pat* Just keep that up a little longer and then you're year will be over. ^_^

You'll be changing schools? Yah, that is kinda sad about how you have to be separated from your friends. I know what that feels like. I'm gonna be separated from several of my friends. It's sad indeed....

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll look into PitaTen and Full Moon wo Sagashite. I'm sure they're good if you're recommending them. ^_^

I went over to my classmate's house today to work on my english final with my group. We're doing a presentation and performance of a play. The play that my group's doing is "She Stoops to Conquer" by Oliver Goldsmith. A mildly interesting and satiric story written in England way back in the day in 1773. Because it's such an old play, everyone seems to be too verbose. That's just how they spoke back in the day. Geez... they can spend an entire sentence saying something that would take maybe three words today. Of course, we're not performing the play as it was written. We only have one period to present and enact the play. Because of this, we have to rewrite things a bit. We modernized the language and added some more blatant, modern comedy. ^_^ At the suggestion of one of the group members, we added light saber duels whenever there's some kind of conflict. ^_^ HAHAHAHA! It's great! ^_^ We don't really think it'll adversely affect our grades. We'll have the entire story, just with lots of light sabers and hands being cut off (cause everyone knows that someone has to lose a hand when there's a light saber around ^_^).

*sigh* School's winding down til the end of the year. Yep... according to my countdown, I only have five days of school left. Wow... that's so soon. I'm kinda looking forward to it too. I want more time to have some fun. Hopefully I'll be able to spend more time with my friends. I want to do stuff like I did yesterday. It was a simple day, but I guess that was the appeal of it all. Sometimes it's just nice to spend time with your friends even though you might not be doing anything really exciting. Hm... this is interesting.... I genuinely want to spend time with people. Throughout most of the year, I was stuck at home. Sometimes because I couldn't go out, but there were also plenty of times when I just didn't want to go out. I guess I'm somewhat antisocial sometimes. In the past, before high school, I never really had any really good friends. You know, the kinds of friends that you're really close to and all that junk? Yah, those kinds of friends. Because of that, I had a tendency to never really do anything with anyone and I rarely went out. Yep, I did have a problem making good friends. Somehow, I believe that I'm still somewhat antisocial. I guess it shows up sometimes when I don't feel like going out. It's interesting really.

I've been busy reading more One Piece. Yah! More One Piece! ^_^ Read it! There's over two tankouban for you to enjoy. My thoughts about these chapters: rather good actually. I had some reserves about this BW arc because the enemies were pretty lame in the beginning, but it has gotten a lot better. I can't wait for more chapters. ^_^

Hey folks, I feel like watching some more anime. Anyone have any suggestions on things that I should download? Recent stuff only please. If it isn't recent, then I probably already have it. You see, I haven't really been into the whole digital fansubbing scene for a few months now. I guess I ran out of stuff to download when X TV was completed. So yah, give me some recommendations please.

Amazingly, no social logging today. ^_^;

I finally saw Star Wars! ^_^ I was beginning to think that I was the only person who hadn't seen it. Well... at least Cinti and Nanona didn't either, so I went with them. It wasn't a bad movie. Nope, not bad at all. What I heard was right, Anakin doesn't really show emotion. ^_^; I don't really care though because I think that kind of personality kinda fit his character. Oh well... at least I got to see Yoda fight! Woo! ^_^ I love that scene. I'm considering going to watch it again just for that scene. It's so great! ^_^ Aside from that, seeing Mace Windu fight was pretty cool too. That purple saber adds just an extra hint of style to the already cool light saber. Gotta love that. ^_^ Overall, not a bad movie at all. More interesting than Episode I.

Afterwards, we went around the Great Mall a while (we saw the movie there). Nanona wanted a cheap gamepad for his computer, so he bought a cheap Sidewinder, at my recommendation. After that, we went out to a liquor store and Nanona bought some Vanilla Coke. It's a new flavor and it doesn't taste bad at all. Cinti and I bought Kool Aid mix! ^_^ He got strawberry, while I got black cherry. ^_^ Yeah, Kool Aid is cool. ^_^

At home, I was in for a nice surprise: BBQ again! ^_^ Yep, I got to eat more MEAT! ^_^ I like my meat.... Yep, I got treated to a nice slab of cow, i.e. a steak. Yummy! ^_^

Steph:
Dreamcast any good? Of course it's good. It's great! ^_^ I love my Dreamcast. If I could have only one system, I would definately pick my DC. Why? There are just so many great games on it. It has the entire Sakura Taisen series for it. ^_^ How could you possibly beat that? It's my favorite game series. Aside from that, there's tons of great fighters such as Soul Calibur, Capcom vs. SNK 2, and KOF 98. I also quite enjoy playing life sims, so there's also Kanon, Air, Pia Carrot 2, Sentimental Graffitti 2, among others. Yep, I love my Dreamcast. ^_^

I just like using Zelda in Smash Bros. She's a really great character in either her Zelda or Sheik form. I generally play in just Zelda form, but I can handle Sheik just fine. I like how almost all her attacks are magic enhanced and knock your opponent really far. ^_^

Saga:
Well, we're not actually not allowed to leave campus either. Closed campus and all. It's just that many seniors don't have a sixth period, so they are allowed to leave early. There's also a program at my school where you can take class a period early (before normal school hours) and you'll be allowed to leave after fifth. So yah, it's not unusual to see peoples leaving campus after fifth.

You don't eat beef!? I feel sorry for you.... *pat pat* ^_^ Nah, it's just that beef is something I quite enjoy eating. I can't imagine going without it. I like eating bovine, darnit! ^_^

Yep, Mario Kart is quite a game. I personally like Yoshi or Luigi. Dang... haven't played it in a while....

Vilya:
Thanks for the "good luck." It's much appreciated. ^_^

Hananikko:
Woo! You added the Chinese dragon to your gallery! Everyone, look at it. It's great. ^_^
