I gots lots o' food yesterday. Lots o' meat! XD Yes, I got quite a bit of turkey-type meat. Mmm~.... Turkey's good.... Kinda dry, but good for a while. Unfortunately, I get tired of it much faster than other meats, so I didn't get to eat quite as much on the one day I'm supposed to eat a lot more than usual. ;_; Bah!

Today I spent most of the day studying. At least I got a lot done. Woo...?

I did pop out this morning to do some shopping for the sister. She took a extended leave for her job because of schooling, but since she's back on the busiest shopping day of the year, I suppose they needed a pinch-hitter or, as I would imagine, quite a few. Anyway, because she had to begin work at 7:00 AM, she asked me to go out to Old Navy at opening time (8:00 AM) and get her some "nubby" hats, scarves, and gloves for her and as presents. I was kinda nyeh, but I went. She would be so tired after work, I'd feel really bad if I made her go. Yah, I suppose I'm a pushover. -_- When I got up, I was all like: "what time is it...?" It was something like 7:45. ^_^;;; So I dressed and got out there. I actually arrived there around 8:00, maybe a minute or two before. I was amazed that there was actually a really reasonable amount of people there. I was expecting much more. Later in the day, I heard horror stories about crowds at Fry's Electronics and Mervyn's at opening time, so I'm glad I got off so easily at Old Navy. ^_^

Earlier, I went out to dinner. There's some family from So Cal visiting for Thanksgiving and my grandpa's birthday tomorrow, so we went to eat. On the way home, we were driving behind such an obviously drunk driver. You should have seen this guy. He was all noticably moving back and forth in the lane. Sometimes I see cars that sway back and forth a little and I can't really tell if they're drunk or if the power steering's too sensitive, but this was really obvious. When he went to make a left turn, he went all the way past the turn lane and into the other lane! Not only that, but the light for the cars to turn into that lane just turned green! So a car came right up to this guy and he had to back up and get back in to the turn lane. My mom left him some space, so he got back in, but he went a little too far and he went past the turn lane on the other side. It just so happened that cars were coming in that lane too. -_- Yes, it was pretty sad. I say, if you're that drunk, you're just asking to get pulled over. Don't drink and drive folks. Don't drink and drive.

You know... we're entering the holiday season now. I just realized that this morning when I turned into my normal "listening in the car when I have no CDs to listen to" station: 96.5 (KOIT: light rock, less talk). They were running a holiday song marathon thing. Now in previous years, I would be all like: "aa~... holiday songs. They make me feel all warm and happy inside!" This year it was more like: "stupid holiday cheer. I'm not in the mood." *changes station to 92.3 (rock). I just find it so interesting how my reaction this year is so different from other years. I wonder if the holiday spirit will sink in at all this year. Every other year it did. But this year.... I'll just have to wait and see....

Let me just say that guava juice is quite goodly. XD

Man, I was so~ not feeling like going to my classes today. But I went anyway. -_- Well... it's the last day before Thanksgiving vacation! But at least I got through them classes and now I am enjoying my nice little vacation. Should I really call it a "vacation?" It's pretty much an extended weekend. Well... at least I get to miss out on two days worth of school. It's not much, but it's something. ^_^

The sister's out on Thanksgiving vacation too. She's back home now. She agrees with me that the whole computer in the living room thing is really strange and not goodly. We watched some of the extended Lord of the Rings she bought. She got sleepy. We stopped watching. ^_^;; We'll watch the rest tomorrow.

Darn, I need some excitement in my life. Such mundane happenings. Doesn't make for very good reading, does it? ^_^;;;;;

Today my philosophy class was so~ interesting. XD First, we went over stuff pertaining to our final project (which happens to be a research paper by the way ;_;). After that, we moved onto a portion of class where we examined arguments and picked out things like thesis, premisses, emotive words, and all that crap. My teacher said that legal cases are good things to examine for these things. Then he went ahead and showed us a tape of a People's Court broadcast, so that we could practice dissecting an argument. But this was no ordinary People's Court broadcast, this was one featuring a case involving my teacher. Yes, he showed us a tape of him in People's Court. ^_^ That was great. Apparently back in the day, when he was still in college, he and a roommate had rented an appartment. The rent to this appartment was $1200. They decided to have another roommate take up a spare room. He would pay $500 and have no utility charges. Apparently, one holiday, when the two original roommates were out, they left an envelope for the third, subtenent to give to the landlord. This envelope contained the $1200 rent for one month. The subtenent opened it to, curious as to what the cost of the total appartment was as he was never informed. The guy got disgruntled, decided to move out, racked up $166 worth of long distance telephone charges, and happend to "accidently" break a $200 chair and throw it out. Needless to say, my teacher took him to court. He was asking for $366 to cover the cost of the chair and the long distance bill (I guess that utilities cost only covered basic utilities). It was so funny watching him up there. ^_^ It's all, like, you never expect to see anyone you know on them types of programs and here my teacher was all, like, on that type of program. XD Everyone got such~ a kick out of that. I know I did. ^_^ In the end, he won the case and got his $366.

Now two things I have to say:
-I don't see how that chair was worth $200. My teacher showed all of us one of those chair display sheets from a furniture catalog and I gotta say, that didn't look like it was worth $200. I'd say more $60 or so.
-My teacher informed me that when you appear on People's Court, they give you $500. Alright... so this guy has to pay my teacher $366? Wouldn't he just take that out of the $500 he just made? There's no real loss for him. Heck, he made money on the deal. Is it just me or is that wrong?

Aside, I've picked up Great Teacher Onizuka tankoubans 1-4. I picked up #1 yesterday and I got so~ into it I had to pick up more today. Let me tell you, this is one great series. Onizuka's like one of my heroes now. He's just so great. Must pick up more soon....
